The body will be placed in the church at 10:00am.
Public viewing will be held Monday, 9:00am - 4:00pm, Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Florence, AL.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, 6-8:00pm, Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, Alabama
Fred served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged.
He retired from Tennessee Valley Authority as a lieutenant in public safety after 27 years of service.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Tuscumbia, Ala., and served in several capacities.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred O. Freeman Sr. and Naoma Rogers Freeman.
His survivors include his wife, Mrs. Joyce Stricklin Freeman; one son, Terrence Oneal Freeman (Stephanie), Boosier City, La.; one daughter, Shawn Freeman, Dallas, Texas; four grandchildren, Julian T. Smith, Dallas, Texas, Ashley Baker, Birmingham, Ala., and Terrence O. Freeman II and Alivia Naoma Freeman, Boosier City, La.; one brother, Billy Freeman (Fannie), Tuscumbia, Ala.; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Finley, Tuscumbia, Ala., Mrs. Chiquita Meade (Michael), Muscle Shoals, Ala., and Mrs. Yolita Hooks (Herbert), Dallas, Texas.; one aunt, Mrs. Annie Jones, Detroit, Mich.; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Janie Johnson, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Margaret Mayham (Leon), Florence, Ala., and Ms. Dorothy Stricklin, Tuscumbia, Ala.; and one adopted nephew, Marc E. Johnson (Dion), Florence, Ala.; lifelong friends, Vivian and Lewis Washington, Gary, Ind. Other nieces, nephews and family members were very special to Fred and he will be missed by all.
